Overseas in Japan

Living overseas or being on holiday in a country during a state of emergency is a unique situation that comes with its challenges. It may be harder than usual to obtain information, understand guidance and tell fact from fiction. We aim to gather resources and information and make things easier to navigate for foreign residents and tourists who find themselves in Japan at this time.

The coronavirus multilingual consultation service is available in eight languages: Chinese, English, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish, Tagalog, Thai, and Vietnamese. We have created a simple poster/social media graphic and translated it into these languages, making clear the days and times the service is available in each.
